How we check these guides
Every rule in a store guide comes from that store’s own pages, and every guide shows when it was last read against them.
Official store pages only
Each guide is built from the store’s own pages: its return policy, its help articles, and the terms for its memberships and store cards. Each guide lists those pages at the bottom, with the day each one was read.
We don’t use news stories, coupon sites, forums or other summaries as sources. When a store’s pages don’t answer a question, the guide says so instead of filling the gap, and the safer reading is the one we suggest.
What “Last checked” and “Last changed” mean
“Last checked” is the last day every rule on the guide was read against the store’s pages.
“Last changed” is the last day the guide’s content changed: a window, a rule or the text. A check that finds nothing new moves “Last checked” and leaves “Last changed” alone.
How often we check
We read every guide against the store’s pages at least once a month, and every week from November through January, when stores post and change their holiday return terms.
A guide that hasn’t been checked on schedule isn’t published until it has been.
What the guides leave out
Guides cover what the stores publish. They don’t cover private exceptions a store might make, a manager’s decision at the counter, or terms printed only on your receipt or order page. When those differ from a guide, they apply to your purchase.
A store’s holiday dates go into its guide only once the store posts them for the current season.
Tell us about a change
If a store’s pages say something different from a guide, email us at support@returndue.com. Include the store, the page and what changed, and we’ll read it against the guide.
